Knight Woodworks started in a garage with a few tools and a love for wood craft, shared with friends and family. It's still the same today — expanding offerings for your business, gifts, special occasions and holidays.
Where It All Began
It started the way most good things do — with a project for the house and a realization that making something yourself is deeply satisfying. One boat-bookshelf turned into two. Two turned into a workshop full of sawdust and finished pieces.
Knight Woodworks grew out of that same feeling. I believe the things in your home should have a story — something you can point to and say 'that was made by a real person, with real care. That was made by Gordon Knight ~ Knight Woodworks.'
Every order, whether it's a small gift or a custom porch swing, gets the same attention. No rushing. I don't cut corners. I just make things the right way.
How I WorK
The Craft Behind Every Piece
Solid Wood Only
Every piece I create is built from solid hardwood — oak, walnut, cedar, cherry, osage orange, and others — chosen for their grain and character. No MDF, particle board, or veneers.
Hand-Finished
Power tools shape the wood, but hands finish it. Every surface is sanded by hand through multiple grits and finished with food-safe oils or hand-rubbed topcoats.
Built to Be Used
We make things to live in your kitchen, on your table, in your home or at your business. Not to sit on a shelf. Every joint is cut for strength, every finish chosen for durability.
